The Pandemic Is Still Around…

I just realised I only wrote 5 blogposts in 2020. And none of them talked about this pandemic that has been going on up until now, unfortunately. πŸ˜₯

The corona virus officially ‘landed’ here in Indonesia in the beginning of March 2020. I won’t talk much about the details. That is something you can find out in the news. πŸ’»πŸ–₯πŸ“²

I remember it was from Mid-March, we, in my workplace, were more aware that this is serious, so we decided to stay more at home and waited for the the progress of the online program that we would use starting in April. Btw, I am currently working as an English teacher for kids. I’ve been doing this for nearly 3 years now.

In the first month after the pandemic hit, I still received my full salary. Later on it was cut 30% off. I didn’t have to spend on money for transport to my workplace, so it was okay. When I heard people started losing their jobs because the company they worked for went bankrupt, I was grateful for still having something that allowed me to not only earn money, but also have something to be occupied with.

Like many others, I stayed at home a lot. I worked from home. I once in a while went to supermarket/fresh market with my dad, perhaps a couple of times in a month.

After some months, I once went to Bandung to meet some friends. I rented a car and the driver. I would have to think twice to do it again now, as the virus spread became a bit uncontrollable.

I’ll try to write more here this year. I’ll try… haven’t put that in my new year’s resolutions, though. Maybe I should… My January has been good so far. A few days left. See you in the next postπŸ™‹
